[5] [6] [7] [8] [9] Solucionario del ven te chow is a website with the purpose of fostering and promoting understanding and appreciation among students about various Latino cultures and languages. It was created in early 2014 by Colombian-born Patria Communications with the help of teachers, students, parents and corporations. This interactive website is designed to help students learn more about their language (Spanish) and culture (Latin) as well as compare their scores against other users around the world. According to their creators, this site "allows anyone with an internet connection to be truly global". This site has been described as an "educational-entertainment portal" by the New York Times.[12] Its stated goals are to "stimulate ideas of unity, create awareness of differences among Latino cultures, stimulate interest in socio-political issues that are of concern to our country, and inspire the desire to learn more about Latino culture". This site is unique because it allows students to identify themselves on the virtual map. This map is divided into five different regions. Each region is further divided into 16 quadrants. The pupils or users can choose their region on the map and enter through a door at the bottom of the screen. Through this door they can then access their corresponding quadrant with one that represents their own region. Once they are in their own quadrant, they have the chance to get points by answering questions about themselves. For example, if they are from El Salvador their question will involve El Salvador. They can also earn points by answering questions about other regions or countries around the world. The website also allows students to ask their own questions and have users from all over the world answer them.[5]The main page of solucionario del ven te chow is an interactive map that shows different regions in Latin America and students' scores when it comes to identifying Latino language. This map is called the "mapa de identidad" (identity map). This map assigns a region to each college campus or school that participates in the program. After a student has entered his/her campus code, he/she can then identify their region on the map. Once they have found their region they can enter through the door that is located at the bottom of the screen. Once inside the door, they are able to find games, quizzes and competitions that pertain to their region. For example, if the user is from Honduras he will be able to play games or listen to music from Honduras or read about problems in Honduras.[6]The content of solucionario del ven te chow is divided into five regions called "quadrants". cfa1e77820
